Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how Levelan (“Levelan,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares consumer health data. It supplements Levelan's general Privacy Policy. This policy is intended to provide the disclosures required by laws such as the Washington My Health My Data Act.
1. Consumer health data we collect
Depending on the features you use and permissions you grant, Levelan may collect or derive:
- Body and profile information: Age or age range, biological sex or related profile answer, height, weight, goals, experience, and physical profile information.
- Limitations and recovery information: Pain or limitation areas, soreness, stress, mood, sleep quality, perceived recovery, readiness, and check-in answers.
- Workout and fitness information: Exercises, workouts, sets, repetitions, weight, duration, rest, effort, cardio activity, training frequency, completion, progression, and personal records.
- Apple Health information: Sleep analysis, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, steps, active energy, exercise time, workouts, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, body temperature, sleeping wrist temperature, date-of-birth information used to derive age, biological sex, height, and body mass.
- Derived health and fitness information: Sleep and readiness scores, recovery state, activity or training load, recommendations, trends, and inferences derived from your entries, Apple Health information, and workout history.
- Optional cloud health summaries: Daily sleep duration/stages/efficiency, awake time, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, wrist-temperature deviation, steps, active energy, workout indicator, readiness score, source name, local date, and time zone when Coach Cloud Backup is enabled.
- Fitness-place information: Gym searches and a selected gym name, address, type, and place identifier, which may indicate use of or interest in a fitness service.
Raw Apple Health samples are processed on your device and are not uploaded to Levelan's servers. Only the daily summaries listed above are uploaded when you explicitly enable Coach Cloud Backup.
Levelan does not store personal health information in iCloud.
2. Sources of consumer health data
We collect consumer health data from:
- you, when you enter profile, onboarding, workout, limitation, recovery, check-in, or gym information;
- Apple Health and connected devices or apps, when you grant permission;
- your use of Levelan, including workout and feature interactions;
- calculations and inferences Levelan creates from your entries, Apple Health information, and activity history; and
- service providers acting for Levelan, such as authentication, database, AI, analytics, diagnostics, and gym-search providers.
3. Why we collect and use consumer health data
We collect and use consumer health data to:
- provide onboarding and create a personalized training plan;
- generate readiness, recovery, and daily training recommendations;
- provide, record, and restore workouts;
- track progress and training history;
- synchronize information across devices;
- store optional daily health summaries when Coach Cloud Backup is enabled;
- provide gym search and remember a selected training location;
- support, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the fitness service;
- respond to consumer requests; and
- comply with law and protect users and the Services.
We do not use consumer health data for advertising, marketing profiles, eligibility decisions, employment, insurance, credit, or data-broker purposes.
We minimize consumer health data to what is reasonably necessary for the feature you request. We do not intentionally send raw Apple Health samples to OpenAI, PostHog, Sentry, advertising services, or data brokers.
4. Consumer health data we share
We may share the following categories of consumer health data with processors that perform services for Levelan:

Levelan has no affiliates with which it shares consumer health data at this time.
We may also disclose consumer health data when you direct us to do so, when necessary to protect users or the Services, or when legally required. We do not sell consumer health data.
Processors may use consumer health data only to perform the stated service for Levelan or as legally required. We require them to provide the same or equal protection described in this policy and required by applicable platform and legal rules, and we do not authorize independent advertising, marketing, or data-broker use.
5. Your consumer health data rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- confirm whether Levelan is collecting, sharing, or selling your consumer health data;
- access your consumer health data;
- receive a list of third parties and affiliates with which Levelan shared or sold your consumer health data and contact information for those recipients;
- withdraw consent for collection or sharing;
- delete consumer health data held by Levelan; and
- appeal Levelan's refusal to act on a request.
To exercise a right, email support@levelan.com with the subject Consumer Health Data Request. To appeal a decision, use the subject Consumer Health Data Appeal and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority. If a valid deletion request applies to consumer health data held by processors or other recipients, we will notify them as required by applicable law. Legally permitted exceptions may apply.
You may also use these product controls:
- Revoke Apple Health permission in Apple's Health or Settings app.
- Disable Coach Cloud Backup in Levelan to stop future summary uploads and delete Levelan's stored daily health summaries.
- Delete your Levelan account at You → Account → Delete account.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal and may prevent an optional feature from working.
6. Changes to consumer health data practices
Levelan will not collect, use, or share a new category of consumer health data, or use an existing category for a materially different purpose, without updating this policy and obtaining consent where required by law.
